Eastern Sierra Fishing | Crowley Lake Guided Fly Fishing

If you have always wanted to get out on Crowley Lake and experience what Still Water Indicator fishing is all about, then take one of our Trout Water Reports guides out for a day.

Still water fishing is a new fad that has just exploded in the last 6 years.
It seems every time you see a fly fishermen on Crowley they are doing this
technique. This is the technique that involves using and Indicator and hanging
midge patterns a few feet or up to 17 feet down near the bottom of the water
columned you are fishing. Years ago several fly fishermen realized that 90 percent
of the food that fish eat in lakes are midges and they wanted to find away to fish
what the trout were eating. So this style was invented. It can really be fast and
furious at times watching several hookups at a time as a school of trout passes by.
This can be a very relaxing way to fly fish, un tell the fishing really turns on and
there is complete may ham on the boat with lines and fish going in every direction.
