Jason Fritz Dave Leak Jason Christian

Jason Fritz was born in Thousand Oaks, California. He moved to the Eastern Sierra 5 years ago. He has a hugh fishing background. Growing up in southern Cal he took up bass fishing at a very young age. While he was in high school and for a few years after words he fished bass tournaments. From there he moved on to fishing in the ocean. He fished out of Channel Islands and after hooking his first yellow tail he was hooked for life. After moving to the Eastern Sierras he took up the art of fly fishing and he's life was changed forever. He has been a dedicated fly fisherman for 5 years. He's been tying flies for 4 years. He mainly fishes his own types and patterns of flies. After a few years of consideration he is going to finally venture out and try guiding. Growing up as a kid he always wanted to be a bass fishing guide and was very close to doing so but things in his life at the time lead him else where. Jason has developed quite a reputation for what he can do in his float tube. He strives to always learn and try new things.

Dave found his passion for fishing at the young age of 9, living in Southern California. It all began with chasing largemouth bass and bluegill on small, local ponds and lakes on conventional gear. It was not long after that when dad got him his first fly rod at the age of 12, and he took his first trip to the Eastern Sierra. In the years to come his passion for the mountains, and the trout that live there, became an addiction.

Dave joined the team at The Trout Fly in the fall of 2004, and attended The Guide School at Clearwater House on Hat Creek in the spring of 2005. After 15 years of fly fishing the Eastern Sierra, and a summer of "shadowing" the master guides in the group, Dave felt it was time to join the guide staff and follow his dream as a fishing guide.

When dave isn't spending his 40+ hours a week guiding you you can usually find him float tubing on Crowley chasing monster trout, or exploring the many alpine lakes which hold the elusive wild trout of the Eastern Sierra. When it comes to moving water, exploring the rivers and streams from Bishop to Bridgeport keep him busy the rest of his free time. Basically you could say Dave's life revolves around fly fishing and everything the Eastern Sierra has to offer.
